This was no ordinary summer camp and these are no ordinary scouts.
What started as a routine scouting adventure turns into an epic journey of self-discovery and friendship in the Canadian wilderness.
Leaving the comfort of the Scout Camp, six scouts set off on their own adventure challenge. It seemed simple enough, paddle across the lake, hike up one of the nearby mountains, camp overnight and then return - but that wasn't going to be the case.
A freak summer storm arrives on Lake Caledon, trapping the scouts deep in the forest on the side of a mountain. Stalked by wildlife, they seek refuge from the rain and become trapped underground while one brave scout sets off further into the cave trying to reach the surface and summon help.
Meanwhile, older venturer scouts set off with their scouters to look for the missing patrol and join in the epic adventure.
Missing on Mystery Mountain is a story about growth, friendship, bravery and overcoming personal challenges. Set in the foothills surrounding the fictitious Lake Caledon (Lake Cowichan), BC.
An end of summer adventure becomes a tale of cat and mouse.
Not all adventures go to plan.
The Woodwinders embark on an end of summer canoe trip in a remote archipelago where they are trapped by weather, summer storms and their Scouters.
Following the disappearance of their Scouters, who have gone to assist someone in distress, the scouts are left to mount their own rescue mission. Instead of finding the Scouters stranded on a remote island, they encounter an international smuggling ring trying to get precious artefacts into Canada.
Escape form Smugglers Island is an epic tale of ingenuity, using the wit and skills of the scouts to mount a rescue mission and bring the smugglers to justice.
Escape from Smugglers Island explores friendship, leadership and ingenuity and is based in the fictitious Annebour Archipelago (Broughton Archipelago Marine Park), BC.
Chased by treasure hunters and lost in a gold mine.
A modern day treasure hunt.
In this third adventure of the Woodwinders series, the scouts are visiting relatives in the remote foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Sitting around the fire one evening, they learn of the Legend of Cougar Canyon and the story of Joseph Carmichael, a Klondike gold miner who disappeared in the late 1800's after discovering a huge seam of gold. Legend has it that the gold was sealed in one of the mines Carmichael had dug before he attempted to leave the mountains before winter. He never made it an all that remained was a scribbled note and a hand-drawn map.
The Legend of Cougar Canyon is a tale of endurance, friendship and dedication to solving a 100 year old mystery in an epic adventure.
The Legend of Cougar Canyon explores personal growth, friendship and investigative skills and is based in a fictional village in the Rocky Mountains, BC.
